Responsibilities :

Assist in all phases of the recruitment and admissions process for undergraduate and graduate programs, including visiting programs.

Assist with the organization and implementation of in person events including campus tours, group information sessions, open houses, portfolio review days, and admitted student events.

Assist with the organization and implementation of online events including online information sessions, webinars, and admitted student events.

Be comfortable with data entry and information technology and systems and maintain up to date and accurate records.

Field incoming communications, including telephone calls and emails, from prospective students, parents, and college counselors, and provide accurate and timely information regarding Parsons Paris and admission requirements.

Represent The New School at high schools, college fairs, and a full range of public and service organizations online and in person as needed.

Maintain a strong understanding and accurate account of information about the academic programs at Parsons Paris and The New School.

Participate in the development and maintenance of the department’s recruitment materials and communication plan.

Speak publicly to groups during events and meetings online and in person. One on one meetings, online and in person, with students will also be required.

Provide basic financial aid and scholarship information to prospective students and families.

Review admission applications and credentials to determine eligibility for admission.

Participate in diverse outreach methods to applicants and other stakeholders in the admission process. 

Review transfer admission files and determine credit transfers.

Deliver outstanding service to all internal and external stakeholders.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills :

Facility with Microsoft Office Suite, experience with complex data entry systems or databases, video editing skills or familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite/InDesign are a plus

Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong attention to details and deadlines

Knowledge of French

Must have current long-term and valid permission and legal status to work in France

Ability to interact well with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s Degree required, coursework, major or interest in liberal arts, arts, design, or fashion are desirable.

This is a French CDD contract with possible renewal.
