Responsibilities :

The API Resident Director serves as API's administrator and liaison for the program and coordinates communication between Parsons Paris, students and the API Office in Austin.

S/he is responsible for undertaking all tasks necessary for the smooth and successful operation of the program and will be responsible for developping and implementing student housing and student services activities for all Parsons students (degree-seeking, graduate and mobility/study abroad)

The RD will develop, organize and direct the day-to-day operations of this customized program in collaboration with the Student Success Office at Parsons Paris. The API Student life team handles most non-academic concerns including students housing; students services (advice and assistance on questions concerning immigration & visas, banking, transportation, health, safety & student wellbeing, counseling & mental health, etc..); cultural activities and excursions.

S/he oversees the lists of student contact details and executes emergency response and action plans as needed in collaboration with Parsons Paris

S/he supervises 2 Assistant Directors to assure the delivery of high quality student services during all open office hours.

S/he plans and executes short-term summer programs (including hiring and supervision of temporary staff)

 

Skills :

EU work permit

Bilingual French/English

First-hand knowledge of French Culture and familiarity with the city of Paris

Qualifications :

MA in a relevant discipline (preferred)

French : level C1

English : level C2
