job description :

Position availability :

Responsibilities :

Paris College of Art is launching a search for a new chair of the Transdisciplinary New Media department to oversee the existing MA and MFA programs. Though the chair is an administrative position that does not require teaching within the degree programs, teaching is strongly encouraged as it provides another type of interaction with faculty and students. It is a permanent position (Contrat à Durée Indeterminée), for 10 hours per week, over the academic year, with the possibility of recuperating overtime hours that may be required during busy periods (e.g., first and last weeks of the semester) during periods of lesser activity. The number of administrative hours can evolve over time depending on student enrollment and the candidate’s teaching load. 6 weeks of paid leave are included in accordance with our collective bargaining agreement. The position reports to the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs.

Interviews will start in June 2024 and continue until the position is filled, with an expected start date as early as August, 2024 and as late as January 2025.
