Responsibilities :

This Program Director is responsible for the development and management of the CEA French Riviera office and programs located in Antibes, providing leadership in all operational areas including: student services & housing, program academics, local vendor relations, financial management, and improvement initiatives. The Program Director is also responsible for office administration and collaboration with all of CEA’s support departments and manages the Antibes team.

Student Relations & Program Operations:

·        Plan, implement and participate in all aspects of student services onsite including arrivals, orientation, course enrollment, academic coordination, student academic performance management, cultural adaptation and personal counseling, student morale, conflict resolution, discipline, housing, cultural and social activities, excursions, and health and safety matters

·         Meet regularly with students

·         Handle escalated student issues

·         Hold flexible working hours (excursions and cultural activities occur in evenings and on weekends)

·         Collaborate with Enrollment Services team on the recruitment and enrolment process for incoming students

·         Coordinate housing selection, allocation, maintenance and issue resolution

 

Academics and Host Institution Relations

·         Establish and maintain relationships with host institutions

·         Participate in selection, design, implementation and evaluation of all curriculum associated with Center

·         Coordinate university registration and monitor student academic progress including attendance

 

Program Management:

·         Participate in design & delivery of all programs, including Custom and Faculty-Led Programs

·         Design and facilitate Orientation, Cultural Activities & Excursions program

·         Design and elaborate program content focused on cultural exploration, linquistic acquisition, cultural adaptation and personal development

·         Identify opportunities for program improvements

·         Collaborate with other CEA Centers on the identification and adoption of best practices

·         Host US visitors for recruiting efforts

 

Finance & Operations:

·         Assist in the management of program finances

·         Maintain relationships with vendors (housing, excursions, cultural activities, etc.)

·         Collaborate with U.S. Headquarters to develop annual budget and communicate all financial needs of the Center to Finance, as necessary

·         Coordinate with Custom Program department to budget Custom Program proposals

·         Create staff expense logs, request funds and provide receipts on a monthly basis and submit to Finance department

·         Hold operation to the annual budget and make decisions in function of program quality and budget limitations.

 

Communication:

·         Communicate regularly with manager on all aspects of city operations

·         Maintain regular communication with students on all aspects of their experience with CEA

·         Report and document student issues in a timely manner

·         Communicate changes on Host University’s practices and pricing to U.S. Headquarters in a timely manner

·         Monitor and report on overall student and market trends in region

·         Assist the Marketing Department to accurately reflect the Programs student offerings and increase visibility of the program using tools like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and other marketing strategies.

·         Residency and work authorization in France

·         Bachelor’s Degree in any field of study; Master’s degree preferred

·         3+ years relevant work experience

·         2+ year’s prior work experience in the field of study abroad

·         Fluency in English and French

·         Excellent written and spoken communication skills

·         Computer literate (Microsoft Office and Internet proficiency)

·         Knowledge of country’s culture, history, business practices and academic environment

·         Able to multi-task and work independently

·         Primary work station located at the CEA Antibes office/center.

·         Required travel within France & Europe for Student Affairs and team events, occasionally to the US for team meetings

·         Must be able to visit and lead students on excursion destinations and activity locations, sometimes international

·         2 weeks Emergency Phone rotation duty per month approximately.
