Responsibilities :

The Center for University Programs Abroad (CUPA) is an independent organization specializing in study abroad for American university students, exclusively in Paris. CUPA seeks to bring a genuine linguistic and cultural immersion experience to its students while providing a high level of academic and personal support. The Student Housing and Administrative Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating homestays and other types of housing in Paris for CUPA students, while also assuming a certain number of administrative tasks. Along with recruiting and maintaining relationships with host families,  and with agencies providing apartment shares, or other forms of housing the Coordinatrice Logement handles day-to-day problem-solving and communication issues regarding housing and cultural differences and leads periodic workshops for students on these topics. The Coordinatrice Logement is also in charge of daily management of the program center, housing contracts, payments and recording expenses, regular updating of the student and family databases, logistics for program center events and provides logistical support and advice to all students on the program.

Skills :

  • Fluency in French and English (written and spoken)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Interest in higher education and student accommodation management
  • Familiar with American students/university culture
  • Ability to work independently, to prioritize and to manage time effectively
  • Experience with problem-solving
  • Strong intercultural skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with local families, CUPA staff and students
  • Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • EU citizenship or resident status
