European Institute in Strasbourg

EUASA has teamed up with the Forum on Education Abroad to provide a 2 day, in person European Institute, to be held November 16 & 17, 2023 at the Syracuse University Centre in Strasbourg, France.  Strasbourg was specifically chosen as a location owing to the ease with which attendees can travel by train, so we can promote more environmentally sustainable travel.

The European Institute is intended to provide workshops and discussions by and for on the ground study abroad professionals in Europe.  In short, an Institute for us working on site with students, with programming of importance to us.

Key topics to be covered include;

  • Supporting Students’ Mental Health on Education Abroad
  • Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Europe
  • Sustainability and Climate Action
  • Listening Session: The On-Site Education Abroad Experience

Note that we hope to walk away from this institute with plans to deliver a series of articles for a special edition of Frontiers Journal, highlighting the experiences and perspectives of European colleagues in the field.  We aim to use the listening session to develop topics and solicit authors or author teams for various articles for this special edition.

This message serves as a ‘save the date’ announcement, and registration will start in April.  Updates will follow, but in the meantime we can be contacted at contact.euasa@gmail.com
