Accent Global Learning – Paris Study Center is currently hiring an Academic Coordinator.
The Academic Coordinator manages the academics of the fall, spring and summer University of California, Education Abroad Program in Paris, as well as the development of new academic programs with various Accent university partners.
The Academic Coordinator reports to the Paris Center Director.
Position availability : As soon as possible.
Responsibilities :

* Academic liaison with UCEAP

* Development and implementation of new academic initiatives.

* Creating and leading academic orientations and orientation materials

* Ensuring academic policies are implemented and upheld by all faculty

* Proposal of new courses as needed, selection of new faculty with Paris Center Director

* Course approval process with partner institutions
-
* Coordination of faculty, including meetings, syllabus review and class scheduling
-
* Student advising and class enrollment process management
-
* Submission of grades and enrollments through the partner university online system

* Coordination and management of student academic accommodations
-
* Overseeing the use of the academic platform by faculty
-
* Conduct course evaluations and class observations. Review courses periodically to ensure balance in experiential learning opportunities, local focus and inclusion of varied themes and perspectives such as identity, social justice and sustainability.

* Advise faculty for the resolution of student issues

* Participate in daily administrative activities in coordination with Paris colleagues to support the smooth functioning of Paris programs. Attend student meetings along with other Paris staff.

* Collaborate with Paris program staff for the selection of program cultural activities and excursions

* Occasional evening/weekend/public holiday work due to programmatic needs
Skills :
-
* Academic or educational program administration experience
-
* 3+ years university teaching experience, preferable in the US higher education context

* Doctoral or terminal advanced academic degree
-
* Network within the academic community in Paris
Qualifications :
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
* Organizational skills, attention to detail
* Strong interpersonal skills, including tact, courtesy, and the ability to work effectively in a multiculturalenvironment
* Strong customer service orientation
* Cultural and academic mentoring skills
* Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, internet applications, MS Office applications and online academic platforms
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

Conditions :
This is a full-time position of 35 hours per week, in office. Office hours are Monday to Friday.
