Responsibilities :

CIEE is a nonprofit study abroad and intercultural exchange organization that transforms lives and builds bridges between individuals and nations through study abroad and international exchange experiences that help people develop skills for living in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world.

The Program Assistant will ensure the success and daily functioning of the High School Summer Abroad (HSSA) programs and will assist with the implementation of other CIEE Paris programs before HSSA program start date (Open Campus, Semesters, Custom programs, etc…). Being knowledgeable with the French and American cultures is a real plus. 

Some of the missions

  • Organize, reserve, prepare and accompany cultural activities and excursions
  • Create cultural visit documents
  • Review student applications (housing, health & wellbeing, French level, etc.)
  • Prepare student and Program Leader orientations
  • Organize arrival and departure logistics
  • Contribute to all orientation sessions
  • Troubleshoot student cell phone and metro pass issues
  • Accompany doctor’s visits when necessary

 

Skills :

  • Language— fluency in French and English
  • Communication—communication and presentation skills in English and French, both written and verbal, able to communicate to multiple audiences both in English and French
  • Administration—strong administrative skills, particularly attention to detail and ability to complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately, and in a timely manner.
  • Organization—high ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Interpersonal—strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate (naturally) an interest in the students, schools, host families, etc.
  • Flexibility—Must be very flexible and be able to respond quickly to changing circumstances and environments. Must have a high tolerance for ambiguity.
  • Technology—strong computer skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, minimum )

Qualifications :

Minimum Bac + 3

Other :

Applicants must be authorized to work in France

Start date: beginning of May   - end date: 31/07/24

Conditions :

·      Ability to work some weekends and evenings, as required

·       Sharing of emergency phone duty, on a staff rotation basis
