• To participate in an on-site team to deliver information services, cultural programs, adjunct courses,counselling/advice and housing services to visiting U.S. students and faculty.
• To be available to handle specific personal problems and concerns of individual students as they arise.
• To provide emergency cover for students with the aid of a duty mobile telephone as part of a team on a rota basis.
• Under the supervision of the Paris Director, to assist in the planning and running of upcoming AIFS programs – booking guides, coaches, classrooms and museums, organising field trips, housing and other program components as required.
• To assist in the preparation of social functions.
• To assist in welcoming, and meeting with, US campus administrators during site visits.
• To accompany students on field trips, excursions and cultural visits.
• Occasional evening duties, weekend work and travel away from Paris
(cultural events, welcome receptions, extended office hours, overnight
excursions etc.). This will require working extended hours via a flexi-time
arrangement.

• Fluency in English and French.
• Good interpersonal skills and a confident and helpful manner to relate to American faculty and students in a customer service role.
• A degree or equivalent, preferably with time spent living/studying abroad.
• Good organisational and administrative skills.
• Numeracy and ability to maintain records of expenditure.
• A working knowledge of Social Media platforms.
• Pride in work; flexibility; ability to work as part of a team, to be able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Interest in working in the study abroad field.
Qualifications :
- Fluency in French and English
- Previous experience of study abroad preferred
- A degree or undergraduate diploma
Other :
Must have the required paperwork for employment in France.

In return for a minimum of a 35-hour working week (which may include additional weekend and evening work):
• Contribution to a monthly travel card for central Paris
• A pro-rata entitlement to 25 days paid holiday a year plus public holidays.
AIFS is looking to fill two Student Advisor positions as follows:
- 1 contract for 10 weeks from May 26th to July 31st 2026.
- 1 contract for 7.5 weeks from June 1st to July 21st 2026.
